Cublington Nursery School: Lost Children
PROCEDURE FOR LOST/ABDUCTED CHILDREN
- Senior member of staff to search building and immediate area outside building.
- Other members gather rest of children together and call register.
- Telephone Police, stating time child was first missed, describing features of child and what they are wearing.
- Telephone parents/carers.
- Telephone Ofsted and Early Years Development and Childcare Unit.
PROCEDURE FOR NON-COLLECTION OF CHILDREN
- Telephone parents/carers.
- If no reply telephone emergency contact number.
- Two members of staff (including senior member) must stay on premises with child.
- Keep note of time of each telephone call made.
- Keep child calm.
- Telephone parents/carers and emergency contact again, noting the time.
- After one hour call Social Services.
- Inform Ofsted and Early Years and Childcare Development Unit.
