Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's):Government Funding? | Potty Training? | How many children? | Child to Teacher ratio? | Are achivements recorded? | Waiting List? Government Funding?I am on a budget and understand the government funds nursery fees. Is this applicable to a private nursery such as yours? Yes. Following the term of your child's third birthday your child is funded by government funds. Before this time all fees need to be payable half-termly in advance. Potty Training? My child is 4 and still not potty trained. Can he attend nursery? We really encourage you to train your child before attending nursery, but we have the experience and skill set to cope with children who are at different stages in their development. Each child developes every stage at different ages. If we were all the same life would be so boring! How may children do you have on each session and what is the adult/child ratio? We are registered to have a maximum of 20 children on each session. A high staff to pupil ratio is essential in providing good quality care and so we have at least one member of staff to every eight children. For most of our sessions the ratio is kept at 1:5. Do you operate a waiting list? Our waiting list is compiled on a first come first served basis with some exceptions: - every effort will be made to place siblings in the same sessions if requested and every effort will be made to accommodate children with special needs and older children moving into the area. Are Children's achievements recorded? We follow the Government's recommended Foundation Curriculum for 3-5 year olds where observation is the key focus area for recording achievements and records are duly kept to enable us to measure each child's development.
